Unfortunate the gates have been run into many times over the years, with the previous owner making repairs by welding. More recently a delivery van had knocked off the overthrow and caused damage to the gates. My job was to take down the bent and broken gates, straighten and clean up some of the ugly welds and add length to the hinge pin. The overthrow was already down, but needed the main fixings repaired and some of the scrollwork reattached.
Then everything was blast cleaned and a linseed oil paint applied and finally reinstalled.
