Project Description

These rails where fixed in stationary position but the cathedral decided it would be useful to have the ability to move the rails at certain times.

We removed two alter rails and the permanent feet fixings. We then designed and built some guide rails and fixed these into the stone floor with the help of Bruce Riley, a stone mason. He cut the guide rails into the stone floor and we reattach roller bearings that fit in the guide rails, that allow the rails to be in two positions in the tracks.
